Mining Investor Selects Lao Transport
PHU Bia Mining Limited on Thursday signed a transportation agreement
Deuan Sawanh Group or DSG is the first company in East Asia to employ a fleet of B Double articulated trucks.
This innovative approach to overland transport was the result of specialized needs required by DSGs main customer, Phu Bia Mining, which operates a large scale gold and copper facility in the Lao PDR.
Large tonnages of concentrate are transshipped to the Thai Eastern Seaboard daily, and the efficient mode of transport as represented by B Doubles allows DSG to do this at a competitive price.
Technological innovation in the fields of satellite/GPRS communication and container design allowing for backloads keep DSGs operations both safe and economical. DSG looks forward to expanding the supply chain throughout East and Southeast Asia, especially in regards to the rapidly expanding Asian natural resources and intermodal markets.
